MOUNTAIN RWENZORI CLIMBING, QUEEN ELIZABETH TOUR

 

MOUNTAIN RWENZORI CLIMBING / MOUNTAINEERING & GAME VIEWING. (11 DAYS)

 

Day 1: Arrive at the airport, Atlas Safaris Staff meets you and then you are transferred to Hotel Africana for the night.


Day 2: After breakfast, you have a briefing about the climb ( MOUNTAIN RWENZORI) by the veteran climber for an hour. At 10:00am, you depart for Kasese with a lunch stop at Agip Motel Mbarara. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel Margherita (B, B)

 

Day 3: After breakfast, you to Nyakalingijo the road ahead, engage your guide and porters and then at 10:00am, you start ascending from Nyakalingijo 1600m and head to the first hut at Nyabitaba 2650m on the slopes of mountain Rwenzori.

Day 4: From Nyabitaba ascend to John Matte hut 3350m

 

Day 5: From John Matte ascend to Bujuku hut 3900m

 

Day 6: From Bujuku ascend to Kitandara hut 4023m, via the scott Elliot pass.

 

Day 7: From Kitandara, short ascend on Mount Baker, and then descend to Guy Yeoman hut 3450m.

 

Day 8: From Guy Yeoman, descend to Nyamitaba hut

 

Day 9: From Nyabitaba descend to Nyakalingijo road head, arriving at 12:00 noon latest. From there, you transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park; you have lunch at Mweya Safari Lodge. In the afternoon you go for the lauch trip on Kazinga Channel and then have the evening at leisure. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. (L, D).

 

Day 10: After breakfast, you proceed to Entebbe with a lunch stop at Masaka arriving late in the afternoon. Dinner and Overnight at Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel (B).

 

Day 11: After breakfasts, you are transferred to the airport for your departure flight, the Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel offers free airport shuttle. (B)

 

COST INCLUDES:

  • Bed and breakfast, accommodation at the Hotel Africana, hotel Margherita and Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel.
  • Park fees to Rwenzori and Queen Elizabeth National Parks.
  • For Rwenzori, Rescue fee, accommodation fee, guide and porters costs and energy.
  • Launch trip on the Kazinga Channel.
  • Internal transportation for 5 days in a 4WD vechicle, inclusive of driver, allowances, fuel, mileage and taxes.
